LARGE GLOSSY Hurricat Juan

This larage (5.5 x 8.5 inch) glossy card is a reproduction of Hurricat Juan, painted by Carol Johnstone.  It was finished in 2004 during the week after Hurricane Juan (Cat 2) hit Halifax and there was no power in the neighborhood. Because it was quite warm outside, Ms. Johnstone painted this oil on her deck.  It was named by Cynde Grieve, editor of the Halifax Banner, where it was shown with stories about Haligonians' experiences of the hurricane.
